Ghosts in the Landscape

This painting series explores the lost, abandoned or redeveloped spaces in Thanet and along the East Kent coast: those that haunt local memory, the landscape itself, or the politics of the region. They continue my interest in the relationship between ‘natural’ and ‘industrial’ landscapes, and the blurry boundaries between them. These are the contested spaces; the ghosts, titans and monsters.
